Against the Wall...

All4Missions is at the wall.  We keep meeting resistance, but I know that I stand firmly in God’s Will.  It’s not always “easy sailing” in God’s will.  Sometimes the enemy throws up road blocks and sometimes you will be tested to see if you will press in against the rock. Strength is gained in the pressing in.  Closeness is developed in the pressing in.

I have to daily choose to keep pressing and not relax the pressure and give up.  It’s challenging!  I am tired some days and want to give up.  Ok well, no, not really.  The enemy would like me to give up!  I will press onward! Philippeans  3:14 “ press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”

What is this resistance you ask?  I am having a website built, and the guy building has been sick and in the hospital.  I desperately need it done.  The government and several agencies do not consider me a legitimate agency without it.

I have board members lacking supplies to meet the basic requirements of the board needs.  I need an additional board member.  I have an offer of one, but she has to have the financial ability to take the position and a Visa to stay in the United States, as she is from England!

Please pray provision and God’s perfect will for this organization; that I will seek and bring in the right people for the jobs. Pray our website and all the items needed for it will be in place quickly,  Pray for our board to be filled out quickly and with those God has ordained!

Skunk died in my yard, Jaws ate his tail, but in all it's been a great day!!!

Merrie...seriously...ok first of all "what is Jaws"...then a SKUNK?  A Good day?  YES!!!

Phew!  Well let's just start with the last 24 hours have been amazing!  Last night, at Foundations for Spiritual Living Class, we had a practice time for hearing from God. I was helping at a table and had an opportunity to allow people to practice on me!

It was a great opportunity to receive a prophetic word!  One of the words I received was exactly what I had been asking the Lord for. Very clear, Yes, you are doing the right thing.  My hand is in this new nonprofit. My word in abbreviated fashion was basically..."No Holds Barred".  Bar has been raised and you have ways to get over the bar.  There are higher levels and the Lord is giving you the means to scale those walls (without much effort).

I had a brief discussion with a  woman about using her facility for a fundraising event!  I got into the car with my husband and the phone rings.  It was someone offering monthly support to our organization!  Woohoo!

This morning a whole bunch more pieces fell into place.  We had another offer of support, a great deal to complete my IRS Form 1023 so we could be 501C3 compliant and my Bylaws, a great deal on a domain name, and so many other things!

So what's the deal with the skunk!  I worked on the yard until it started raining...yes, we DO get rain in Texas..once in a while! I came in and was later looking out the back door to see if I could get out and finish another task, like water my garden...what about the rain?  not enough to add up!

So, I look out and see something black and white laying in the yard....huh uh...I'm not going out there.  Then I notice that not only do I need to water my plants, fragile baby tomato plants, but Jaws has swallowed his TAIL!  UGH!

What is Jaws you ask?  Jaws is our pool cleaner that runs around chasing unsuspecting pool loungers, inevitably cleaning where you want to stand.  Someone, maybe one of our kids?? aptly named it jaws and it stuck!  It sucked it's tail inside itself.  Now I desperately needed to get out there and take care of it...but, there's a skunk there.

I tap on the back door...nothing...I bang carefully on the glass part of the door...still NOTHING!  I carefully open the back door and sniff...no overwhelming smell, no movement....dead? I guess....hmmm....gingerly I walk out the door...still nothing....

I finally carefully go out turn off equipment, no movement, vague smell...I finish what needed to be done and head back inside....what to do with the skunk???

God Showed Them Extraordinary

How can an ordinary woman see ordinary things and receive extraordinary words from God?
God showed them extraordinary: Moses, Caleb, Gideon, … (This will be a small list. As I realized that I had so many more on the list, but realized I could be here all day!)

Moses:
Numbers 20:11 Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.

Seriously, strike a rock God?  Woohoo!  Yes, even from striking a rock God can create a miracle.

Caleb:
Numbers 13:1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 “Send some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders.” 3 So at the LORD’s command Moses sent them out from the Desert of Paran…. 17 When Moses sent them to explore Canaan, he said, “Go up through the Negev and on into the hill country. 18 See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many. 19 What kind of land do they live in? Is it good or bad? What kind of towns do they live in? Are they unwalled or fortified? 20 How is the soil? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees in it or not?... Do your best to bring back some of the fruit of the land.”
21 So they went up and explored the land … 25 At the end of forty days they returned from exploring the land. 26 They came back to Moses and Aaron ..There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land. 27 They gave Moses this account: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. 28 But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan.”
30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” 32 And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. "

Caleb was told: explore the land that God is GIVING the Israelites, come back and report!  Sounds simple…He did it, reported and stood in faith ready to enter the land given!  He didn’t do anything extraordinary.

Gideon:
Judges 6-7
6:11The angel of the LORD came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites. 12 When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, “The LORD is with you, mighty warrior.”
Mighty warriror? He hadn’t done anything yet?  God sees whom He created us to be, then shapes us to become our destiny.  Read the rest to discover the simple things he did that led to an amazing outcome!
7:13 Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream. “I had a dream,” he was saying. “A round loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent overturned and collapsed.” 14 His friend responded, “This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands.” … 19 Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the edge of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just after they had changed the guard. They blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands. …20 “A sword for the LORD and for Gideon!” 21 While each man held his position around the camp, all on each other with their swords. The army fled…

It’s not like God ordained these amazing men to do amazing things, then commanded the writer’s to tell of their amazing deeds.  God took ordinary men & women, asked them to do ordinary things, then showed them to be extraordinary!
What ordinary thing is God asking you to do that seems like it’s pointless.  Is that really you, Lord?  This is too simple.

Can God speaks through clouds?

Daniel 5:5 -6 " Suddenly the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall, near the lampstand in the royal palace. The king watched the hand as it wrote. His face turned pale and he was so frightened that his legs became weak and his knees were knocking.

You may have seen my post about the clouds and thought, "she's just a little tetched in the head." Um, No, God is very clear in His word that we could see visions and things in the physical realm that would provide clarity and direction, and yes, affirmation in our lives!

These clouds were the most amazing, clearly divine thing I had ever seen. The fact that I could capture a photo says, YES, they were physically made manifest, and could be seen by any passerby! They were placed there by God for me! Wow!

I am overwhelmed by His goodness! When things in the natural are not moving at the pace I would prefer, delays and walls seem to be happening! Yet, God showed me clear, obvious proof of His favor and love, and yes, approval. A yes, Merrie' you are on the right path. I AM directing and clearly leading you! Come (beckoning), Take my hand, I am leading you in a clear direction!

Wow Lord, WOW! Phew! Yes, still overwhelmed and AWED by His glory and majesty and Loving-Kindness!!

Prophetic Cloud Photos

We were on our way to what would be an amazing night of Worship at "Fire on the Altar".  My husband was driving, and as I looked out the window I saw an unbelievable image in the sky!  At the time I first saw the images they were vibrantly clear, digging for my phone, I was in total awe and wonder over what I was seeing!  The first was a huge arrow pointing to the North.  The Lord told me clearly you're being lead, following clear direction from me! (Compass talked about by Sam Brassfield, June 2012, Tabernacle of David Conference)
The 2nd image below that was the very clear hand of God, beckoning, saying, "Come with me, follow and I will guide you."
The third image was a the hand of my Lord, outstretched, saying, "Take my hand."  The amazing thing as I studied the image in the sky was that the sunlight was lighting His hand, and I could see very vivid detail in His thumb even, the ridges where the thumb bends!  It was amazing!  So amazing I almost didn't get the picture at all I was so overwhelmed by what I was seeing!!
Praise you Yahweh, My Lord and Savior for loving me so much that you would give me huge, amazing images in the sky to guide and confirm to me what you are doing!  I am overwhelmed you by goodness and love for me!!!!
Join me in this amazing jouney, see if the Lord will not fulfill His promise!

Launch out into the deep!

Luke 5:4 "...Put out into the deep water..."

How many times have we heard this and thought I am trying, Lord.  I want to go deep with the holy Spirit.  How deep we goes depends are willingness to leave the comfort of dry land...dry land?  oh ho, that brings up images...dry dusty, desert!  Why for us, as for the Israelites is it so hard to leave it behind?

Launch out into the deep.  Go deeper with the Lord! Deep pools of water over your head, completely immerse in what the Lord has for us!  What better place to be!  Then, why is it so challenging to achieve.  For each of the answer to that will be different.  Search your heart.

As we search our hearts, go after that deep water with the Holy Spirt, we will find new depths to that deep water.  There we will find new meaning to water that means and looks like for our lives.  What we saw in the past experience with the Holy Spirit as deep water, will now appear to our ankles or knees.  Go deeper!  Ask the Lord for new depths!  Come on you can do it!  Go deep!

As we go deeper with the Lord we will find new richness in our prayer life and worship.  We will soak in His presence in a new way, not needing words, or anything, but to glory in the presence of our God!  We will find new purpose or clearer purpose.  We will seek not our will, but His, because it will become clearer to us what that looks like.

Launch out into the deep!  Go for it!

Freedom in God's Plan!

I have spent 5 years raising funds for missionaries and sending gifts to the field. I had a dream....I really wanted to do so much more, but always heard, "wait" in that still small voice inside. "But Lord," I'd say, "I have a heart to do more, serve more missionaries"!

Well the time has come!! I heard "Go" from the Lord. Woohoo! Here we go! A crazy ride it has been indeed! So many blessing and so many have come on board! I am writing Articles of Incorporation & Bylaws. I have been actively talking to people around the world about my vision. I have sought wise Godly counsel and talking to friends & family.

I was sharing with my sister, Jackie, about what I was doing and asking if maybe she could help me set up the accounting. She surprised me by not only agreeing to help, but asking to be not only our Account, but taking a position on the board! I was so incredibly blessed!

I still am seeking someone to come on the Board of Directors & act as the Secretary. We are working on fundraising ideas, talking, talking, talking....

I shared in a facebook post that I was looking at what to do for our logo, when a dear friend, Glenn Eastman, Worship leader, author of God's Most Wanted, offered to do the Logos! WOW! So blessed!

We are looking forward to what else the Lord is doing while I continue following hard after Him.
